Hot Matcha Tea

Matcha is my go to beverage, second only to water ;).Matcha is an antioxidant rich superfood that can ward off disease, add years to your life, and even help aid in weight loss. It is loaded with plant compounds known as catechins, which act as natural antioxidants in the body. In fact matcha contains up to 137 times more catechins than any other green tea. And it is so delicious.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp Ceremonial Grade Matcha I use the brand Matcha Kari
  • 2 ounces Hot Water to blend
  • 1/2 cup Oat Milk (or milk of choice) I use the brand MALK
  • Cinnamon to taste

Instructions
 

  • Sift 1 tsp of matcha into a wide mug or bowl. (I use a matcha bowl with a spout that I bought off of amazon)
  • Add 2 ounce of hot water to the matcha powder and whisk with a bamboo matcha whisk from side to side until a thin layer of froth appears on top.
  • Steam your oat milk using a milk steamer
  • Then pour the milk into a mug and pour the matcha over top
  • Top with cinnamon and enjoy!
