Greek Burgers & Fries
This meal has recently become a favorite in my family. The burger is juicy and flavorful. And the greek salad and fries are the perfect compliment to make a balanced meal - loaded with clean protein, healthy fats, and whole food carbohydrates
Servings 3
Ingredients
- 1 lb grass fed ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced red onion
- 1 stalk green onion
- 1/2-1 tbsp oregano
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- ground pepper
Greek Fries
- 4-5 yellow potatoes
- 3 tbsp olive or avocado oil
- 2-3 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- ground pepper
Instructions
- For the burgers - Mix all of the ingredients into a bowl. Then form into patties
- Preheat a cast iron or stainless steel pan. Place burger patties in the pan and sear on both sides.
- Cook until until the internal temperature is 145-150 degrees F
Greek Fries
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F
- Chop potatoes into wedges. Add to a bowl and top with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper
- Place in a single layer on a stoneware baking sheet and roast for 30 minutes or until crispy on both sides. Flip halfway through baking.
- Serve burgers on top of red leaf lettuce. Then top with red onion, tzatziki, and avocado. Serve alongside fries and a greek salad.
